A tried & tested recipe-really can’t go wrong here
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup (2 sticks) softened butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, I prefer of course Nestle.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix together flour, salt & baking powder in medium bowl and set aside
Cream together butter, sugars and vanilla in large bowl. (I do this still be hand, it’ll give you a greater sense of accomplishment, plus help to tone your arms, maybe.)
Add eggs 1 at a time beating after each addition.
Slowly add flour mixture, maybe 1/2 of it, then mix and add the rest and mix until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
Find a spoon and enjoy. Just kidding.
Place rounded tablespoons of dough on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool and then devour.
I like to cook up 1 batch at a time, 12 cookies, and put the dough in a sealed container in the fridge. This way if you get a cookie craving, all you ahve to do is scoop out a couple and bake them up warm & fresh. The dough is good for up to one week.
