12 Brussels sprouts, sliced in half lengthwise
1 1/2 tablespoons of butter
1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil
1-2 garlic cloves, crushed
Melt the butter and oil in a medium skillet on medium low heat, add the garlic. Stir to flavor the butter and remove the garlic once it begins to brown.
Place the brussels sprouts cut side down into the garlic butter, cover and cook on low 15-20 minutes, until tender. Remove brussels sprouts to a serving plate and drizzle any remaining butter over them, top with grated parmesan if you’d like. (I highly recommend it!)
