Once again folks I went to one of my favorite restaurants in my ‘hood and quite possible the entire city of Boston. I think I like it so much because of its consistency. You pretty much know if you’re going to The Paramount, it’s going to be good. And it won’t break your piggy bank.
It’s nothing gourmet or over the top, but again, that’s why I like it so much. I still can’t figure out what they serve with the bread, I think it’s a mix of white beans, cilantro & lime… I keep forgetting to ask. Whatever it is, it’s tasty.
Last night I had one of the dinner specials (and I’m sorry, no photos, though this story yesterday was funny). It was a pan-roasted half chicken with mashed potatoes & asparagus.
I’ve had pan-roasted half chicken at a couple of places, (including just a couple of weeks ago at The Marliave), and this was definitely one of the best. Sometimes it’s hard to cut into and you can’t really tell what you’re getting, it can be greasy, but this was done just right. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, and the asparagus was a smidge overcooked, otherwise, though it was awesome.
The atmosphere for dinner too is just adorable. Teeny little candles on each table and dim lighting. The window onto the street was open, just a perfect spring evening all around. 🙂
